Fair Hill International is dedicated to offering the best eventing competitions and learning opportunities for all levels of riders. We also host an endurance ride and a combined driving event. For all the details, please visit our website: http://www.fairhillinternational.com/
Did you spend all weekend watching Rolex, like we did? We were excited to see so many of our "FHI Faithful" competitors have such a good showing at Rolex. Did you know that Sally Cousins is the newest member of Fair Hill International's Board of Directors? Did you know that Sally Cousins and Tsunami completed Rolex in 30th place over the weekend? Way to go, Sally!

So far this competition season we've hosted an endurance ride, a recognized Horse Trials and CIC 1*, 2*, and 3* (see results and lots of photos on our Horse Trials page), and two cross country schoolings. We're just getting started! Our first Starter Trials of the year is on Sunday May 8, followed shortly thereafter by another recognized Horse Trials on May 21 - 22.
It's a VERY busy month for us, and we could use your help! If you have not signed up to volunteer, we would love to hear from you! Remember, our volunteers get a great tee shirt, AND a free cross country schooling! PLEASE NOTE - we very much need volunteers ahead of time to help set dressage rings, flag cross country courses, and set up show jumping. If you can help any time the week prior to an event, please note that on your volunteer form!
If you're at one of our Horse Trials or a schooling, we'd love to see what you're up to! Tag us at #funatFairHill and we'll round up your posts and put them on our blog - check out this link to see what you all were doing for our April Horse Trials!
Want to help us AND have lots of fun? We're having a Painting Party fundraiser on Friday May 20 at 6:30 in the Ed Walls Building! Bring a friend (or three), have a great time painting something fabulous on canvas, and support Fair Hill International. The cost is $45 per person. Light refreshments will be provided. Sign up or get more info here. See you there!
WHY do we do all this fundraising stuff? Part of the "why" is so we can achieve our mission - to make Fair Hill International an educational experience for riders of all levels. And what do we do to make that happen? We support the young generation of competitors - the 21 and under crowd.
We announced a few weeks ago our partnership that will begin in the Spring of 2017, with Stable View Farm (Official Winter Training Facility for the US High Performance Eventing Team in Aiken, SC) and Plantation Field Horse Trials in Pennsylvania, as we launch the new 21 Challenge Series for young riders (see the press release HERE). All riders 21 and under will have the opportunity to accumulate points on a series leaderboard while competing in the Preliminary or CIC* divisions at the spring horse trials for Stable View, plus either Plantation Field or Fair Hill International. The top three riders will receive a Stable View prize package that includes one month of free board, apartment accommodations on-site, and training sessions at the facility during the 2018 winter season.
We're also excited to help our local Young Riders make their way to the North American Junior and Young Rider Championships in July at the Colorado Horse Park. We're hosting a DerbyCross at Fair Hill on Saturday June 25 with all proceeds going to the Area 2 NAJYRC team. There will be Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training levels at the DerbyCross. We've got more info coming soon! John Nunn at Bit of Britain is helping the Young Riders coordinate the DerbyCross - if you have questions or would like to help, please give John a call at 443-309-0676.
It takes a village to help our young riders achieve their dreams, and become the future of eventing. Help us, help them!

I'm a little late, I apologize, in searching for tags from our intrepid Foxcatcher Endurance competitors, who braved cold, rain, snow, and mud on April 9th while riding 25 or 50 miles. THANKS to all our competitors, crew, and volunteers - what a ride! And thanks for tagging us - we love seeing the ride from your eyes!
