John Dennison (1952 - 2013)

It is with great sadness that we pass on the news of the loss of one of our friends.  John Dennison passed away over the weekend.  John was on the organizing team for the Foxcatcher Endurance ride.  He first got involved during the North American Endurance Championship in 2005, and once a man as nice as John volunteers to help, you can bet we never let him STOP helping.  Those who have attended Foxcatcher will remember John as the always smiling, always ready to lend a hand man who helped you find a place to park.

Our thoughts are with John's wife, Denise, and his family.  We will miss him dearly.

John L. Dennison(1952 - 2013)

John Lawrence Dennison of Landenberg passed away on Sunday June 30 at the age of 60, leaving behind his beloved wife Denise, his father David, his sisters Karen, Andy and Danny and a multitude of loving friends. Born in 1952 in Wilmington, he was the only son of Dave and Peggy (Margaret Skinner) Dennison. John graduated from Unionville High School in 1969 and from Princeton University in 1973 with a BS in Biology. He worked for over 38 years at W.L.Gore & Associates where he devoted his gifted expertise to delivering computing services and solving any number of other problems demanding patience and creativity. John spent much of his youth in Switzerland, was an expert skier and he loved the mountains. He had many other interests including an abiding love for theater which he nurtured over many summers producing Brandywiner's shows at Longwood. He loved Hatteras trips with friends, the Purple Martin community in his garden, cats and dogs and the peaceful grace of his homestead. True to his generous nature, John has given the gift of life to numerous others through the Gift of Life Donor Program.
