Wow. How did that happen? Already it's Tuesday. The stabling area is a bustle of activity as horses arrive and get ready for the first "event" of the Festival - the jog tomorrow afternoon. The ground jury will walk the cross country course today and give final approval, and then the course will be open for competitors to walk. Final tents and decorations are going up, signs are being placed to help show people where to go, and we're counting on the bright sunshine today to help dry out the rain from yesterday.
Please thank Eventing Nation for their amazing preview article of the CCI ***. It's fabulous. Definitely go check it out!
And also check out this great blog post (including helmet cam video from FHI 2011) on Eventing Nation.
I do have more pictures of set-up for you, but you'll need to wait til later on today. Sorry - I had a baby on Saturday and I'm working on catching up on other stuff in life that doesn't revolve around new baby. :-)
Also, keep an eye out tomorrow for news on dressage times and a final order of go, plus the 2012 cross country course map with pictures. Both should be up on the FHI website by Wednesday evening, and I'll be sure to link you there once they are up!
Massive thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who have worked so hard this part week to transform the grounds in to spectacular show grounds. Keep your fingers crossed that the weather stays perfect, and we'll see you at FHI this week!
